Children's & Family Ministry

Children are vital and nurtured members of our church family. Our staff and volunteers are committed to supporting and encouraging families on their faith journeys. Learning about God and loving God is a life-long experience, and we are committed to helping families along that path. Children are welcome and encouraged to be in worship at St. Andrew and to participate in our programs. We strive to build a faith community in which children, youth, and families know each other by name, minister to each other, and are partners in serving Christ.

Children and their families do not need to be members of St. Andrew to participate in programs. We have opportunities for all ages listed below. If you are interested in participating in any of our programs, click below to download the registration form.

25 Live @ Home

This year, St. Andrew is trying something new with its midweek programming for Children's and Family Ministries: 25 Live @ Home. Each Sunday, we will release YouTube videos of our staff and volunteers talking with friends of St. Andrew about how they are working to create a world Jesus would be proud of.

If you have any suggestions for upcoming video interviews, contact Thomas Hartely, Nichole Hoffman, or Sara Penn.

Sunday School

Two-year-olds through high school students meet after service on Sundays during the school year for Bible lessons, activities, music, service and more.

Worship Services

Families are encouraged to be part of our Worship Team by serving as greeters, ushers, readers, or musicians during Sunday services. We worship together in the Sanctuary and then head to Sunday school classes after our the service.

NURSERY

Paid staff and volunteers care for the youngest members of our church family.  Nursery care is available in the lower level on Sunday mornings starting at 9:15 a.m. through the Worship Service, Sunday school classes and special events.

Stop by the nursery to meet our caregivers.

Vacation bible school (VBS)

Each June about 100 children (PreK-6th grade), gather for one week of fun, engaging activities with a Biblical focus. We’d love for you to join our team!

MUSIC

All children kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to

Make a joyful noise to the Lord!

Vocal and handbell ensembles for children and youth are an important part of our worship experience.

Volunteers and Leaders

We all have gifts to share, and our young people at St. Andrew are encouraged to be role models at our church and in the community. Our Children’s Ministry programs have many opportunities to serve others and we have a strong tradition of youth leaders and adults mentoring children.
