Calling a New Pastor

St. Andrew's Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) continues to meet faithfully each week as we move forward in the search for the pastor God is calling to serve St. Andrew. Since our last report to the congregation, we have continued to review new matches that come through the Church Leadership Connection system, which provides rolling matches as applicants enter the process. We have conducted both first and second interviews with several strong candidates, and, as committee member Peggy Hausler shared in worship, “we’ve started checking references for those candidates who still feel called to proceed after the second interviews.”

Peggy also reminded us that “we’re all on the same team in this process”—and that the committee remains committed to working diligently while allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us, rather than feeling pressure from any particular timeline. “We want to move faithfully, not just quickly,” she said, and that continues to be our shared approach as a committee and as a congregation.

Each new step brings us closer to discerning the pastor who is the right fit for St. Andrew’s ministry and mission. We are grateful for your continued prayers, encouragement, and trust as together we listen for God’s call. Thank you for being “on our team,” as Peggy put it—your support strengthens us for the work ahead and reminds us that this is truly a Spirit-led journey for our whole congregation.
